Does Age Really Matter

After doing the analysis of experience I was curious if age has an impact on Presidential performance. An explanation of how the Presidents were ranked can be found on the “Does Experience Really Matter” post. The .xls I used for the analysis is available at the bottom of the post to download.

Since there is only one data point for people taking office in their 70’s it is statistically irrelevant. After removing the “70’s”, there are good and bad Presidents in each age group. Combine that with a large standard deviation and the only conclusion is age doesn’t play a factor in expected Presidential performance, Q.E.D.
