Obama Bucks

A Republican Womans group in California included an image of ‘Obama Bucks’ in their most recent newsletter. The proposed design of the currency includes Obama’s face on food stamps along with pictures of chicken, watermelon, ribs and some Kool-aid. Food stamps can’t be used for consumer products so the hot comb, crack and spinning rims weren’t able to be included.

The woman points out that she didn’t realize it might be viewed as racist. She also points out that she even knows some black people strengthening her case as a warrior for social justice.

If she didn’t intend any racial implications, and she innocently believed it was “just food”… then why the need to select watermelon and chicken as your food choices?

Just when I think people can’t get anymore ignorant (pardon me, I meant to say ig’nant).

uh, well i mean, her daughter said it all right there of course it’s not racist, because her mother married a MEXICAN?! duh! so how on earth can she possibly be racist then?? she married a mexican! giver her a break!
