I'm proud too, for both America and Obama. I know he'll have the support of the people as this was purely a people driven campaign.

EP, that was a great comment you made and it really convinced me that he was your candidate because you were prepared to tell the world every aspect of why you believed in him. That guy really is an awesome dude and right down to the end, I still had a hard time undstanding why anyone would vote for McCain because Obama is all about what the country needs at the moment. I didn't vote for him because he's black, I voted for him because he stands for what America needs at this critical point and time. I could write a book on why I agree with you and I can get long winded, therefore I'll just end by saying, "We Did It".

I really hear what you are saying...I voted for Clinton, Gore, and Kerry but watching the results last night was a very different experience. Before I watched all the debates, and stayed glued to the TV while the results were tallied. But this year I couldn't stomach watching the debates, I tuned out of the election results after McCain opened with an 8 to 3 lead, I paced and paced, couldn't each yesterday, and finally let out a long loud scream around 11:00 eastern time last night!

I feel really proud that this country was able to see through the usual fear tactics of the Republican Machine and put this country on a different track. Now the really hard begins!!

seriously, i thought i was dreaming last night. it seemed very surreal. glad to see that the system still works and that finally someone came along and lit a fire under the masses and got them motivated to vote, to participate in the process, get involved in making things better.

no doubt the rest of the world will like us a little more too.

Thanks for the comment Ep, and yes, great post by you, too..

Yeah, that feeling, when I missed the announcement, and came back to CNN, I think I had brain-freeze for a minute, then the tears started flowing, and the happy-but-shocked feeling. I have lived in the US about as long as we had that shitty Republican government, and I'm sick of it. It will be so nice to live here with Obama as President. I might even take citizenship now. I feel prouder, and my friends won't be laughing at me for moving here.. ;-)
