This weekend on “Meet the Press” former Secretary of State and Chairman of the Join Chiefs Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama. Mr Powell has served at the highest levels in each of the past three Republican president’s administrations and is widely respected by both parties and around the world. A recognized Republican stalwart such as Powell pulling for Obama is incredibly telling as to broad appeal that Obama has.

I was unable to embed the video in my site, so here is a link to Powell endorsing Obama. He is incredibly eloquent giving his reasons for supporting Obama and not McCain. Particularity when he addresses his displeasure with the Republican parties insistence that Obama might be a Muslim and that being a Muslim is a bad thing. I’m sure that some people will argue Powell is supporting Obama simply because he is black. Which is probably true because black people are a homogeneous people who all listen to Jay Z, eat fried chicken and vote for each other.

Well, that reasoning is why Palin got the VP nod, right? All black people vote for each other and all women vote for women.

I’m so glad to see someone talking about this without say “Colin Powell putting race before country”.

I have to put a quote up by Steven Colbert who also talked about the only reason Barack Obama got the endorsement is because Colin Powell is black:

A computer begins somewhere. This starts having a bios and a CPU and a motherboard ect… When we code that computer to pump out a random number, why is it pick the number it picks? The exact same computer rests beside is actually identical plus they both pick different first random amounts. Is the Bios fed a seed during construction and every new bios gets a different seed? Those of us which have worked with accidental numbers understand what a seed is. So why does my computer give a number between 100 and a thousand as 756, but your own gives, 537? Is not a form of cleverness beyond that of artificial? We gave the computer the ability to give random amounts, but why is it give or choose that arbitrary number when in reality it has no ‘will’ to decide. Why 3 instead of 4, when it favours nothing at all? Even with a seed, why is it choose 5 with this seedling but 7 with that seed? Where in the ruels of existence does it say that, with this seed equaling 756395837 because computer, 1st random # will become this?.
